ABOUT
Born and raised in Guadalajara, Roger is an interdisciplinary designer and creative whose work draws on his Mexican heritage and international experiences. Roger began his career in London and now lives in New York, where he studied Interior Design at Parsons School of Design. Roger is passionate about sustainability, and was awarded the 2024 Sustainable Vision/Ecological Vision Award, presented to a graduating student whose design work achieves environmental design thinking and innovation.Â
Prior to Parsons, Roger spent over a decade in public relations in London, specializing in projects across art, design, film and hospitality for creatives including Luca Guadagnino, Jenn Nkiru, Katharina Grosse, Doug Aitken, Vanessa Beecroft, Virgil Abloh & Takashi Murakami, and William Forsythe and brands such as The Standard Hotels, The Face Magazine, Goodhood and Potato Head Bali.
Roger’s commitment to sustainability is deep-seated, demonstrated through his work with Parley for the Oceans, Project Zero, and Space Available to promote environmental initiatives and highlight the power of sustainable design.
Roger is proficient in design software including AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, V-Ray, and the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and is a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).
